The McAfee Complex was built in 1997 and named for Dr. Walter S. McAfee. McAfee was a civilian engineer who contributed to some of Fort Monmouth’s greatest successes over his decades long tenure at the Fort including Project Diana and radar development. The McAfee Complex includes the 90,000 square foot, two-story McAfee Center as well as the surrounding warehouse and office buildings. It was once home to the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate of the Communications Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center.
